Environmental policy

The Management of Grupo Dermlun GD, SRL commits to preventing pollution arising from its operations, complying with applicable environmental legislation and its customers' environmental requirements, segregating the waste it generates at source, handing it over only to qualified waste managers who certify its final disposal, and continually improving its environmental performance.

This commitment is not delegated: Management is responsible for providing the resources to meet it, and every employee for applying it in their job.

This policy applies to all activities, facilities and personnel of Grupo Dermlun, including contractors, suppliers and visitors while on our premises.

It covers the waste and fluids generated by general machining, tool regrinding, EDM and spare-part manufacturing, as well as ordinary waste from offices and service areas.

• Comply with applicable environmental legislation in the Dominican Republic and with the environmental requirements set by our customers, particularly those in free trade zones.
• Segregate waste at the point of generation, keeping metals by type, industrial plastics, used fluids and general waste apart.
• Hand over waste only to qualified waste managers, verifying their current authorisation and requiring a certificate of final disposal.
• Use energy and resources rationally, and evaluate cleaner generation alternatives for our facilities.
• Continually review and improve environmental performance, measuring what is disposed of and analysing it in the management review.
